Pangkalpinang - Gita Bahana Nusantara Serumpun Sebalai Choir and Orchestra performed successfully at the 78th Commemoration Ceremony of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia at the courtyard of Bangka Belitung Governor Office, Thursday (17/08/2023). They beautifully dressed in traditional costume of Nusantara.
This year, Gita Bahana Nusantara Serumpun Sebalai Orchestra collaborated with traditional music instrument players. Meanwhile, the choir consisted of participants from Gita Bahana Nusantara 2023 audition, Gita Bahana Nusantara class of 2022, and Bangka young musicians.
Head of Bangka Belitung Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Sports office Wydia Kemala Sari said that Gita Bahana Nusantara Serumpun Sebalai Choir and Orchestra got a lot of praise for their performance in presenting national and local music and songs.
“They were amazing, even though it was their first time performing at Independence Day Ceremony. They got a lot of praise from the audience. I hope next year they can perform again,” said Wydia.
Sub coordinator of Traditional Culture and Arts Pupung P Damayanti stated Gita Bahana Nusantara Serumpun Sebalai Choir and Orchestra presented a seamlessly performance since the flag-raising until the flag-lowering ceremony.
“Thank God, it went smooth and seamless. The appreciation from the acting Governor and the Heads of Office was amazing. Hopefully, it get more supports next year,” she hoped.
Gita Bahana Nusantara Serumpun Sebalai Choir and Orchestra who performed at the 78th Commemoration Ceremony of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia comprised 46 members. It consisted of 31 choir members, and 15 musicians. (RZ/ZE)
