Pangkalpinang – Batik Airline officially reopened direct flight from Pangkalpinang to Jakarta on Sunday (28/01/2024).
The acting governor of Kepulauan Bangka Belitung (Babel) Safrizal ZA, along with Babel Leaders Communication Forum (Forkopimda), and the acting mayor of Pangkalpinang Lusje Anneke Tabalujan welcomed passengers in that maiden flight.
The acting governor Safrizal appreciated reopening direct flight from Pangkalpinang to Jakarta. He said it is the answer for what community asked. They hoped there are alternative flights, and the fare will be reasonable.
“We really appreciate Batik Airline for responding us to reopen flight to Babel,” said the acting governor Safrizal at arrival section Depati Amir Airport.

On that occasion, he called out other airlines to open direct flight to Babel. He went on to say that Super Air Jet airline had confirmed to open Pangkalpinang- Batam route soon.
‘I invite more airlines to open direct flight from and to Babel. Not only Bangka, but also Belitung. Forkopimda and I are ready to collaborate with all airlines,” he said.
For the record, Batik air will fly once a day from both Soekarno Hatta International Airport (at 09.45 a.m) and Depati Amir Airport (at 11.45 a.m). (BD/IM/ZE)
