Tourism Office Develops Roasting Fish Tourist Package on Penyusuk Beach
Belinyu – Penyusuk is a beautiful beach in Belinyu. It does not only offers sunrise and sunset, but it is also renowned for its delicious fishes and others.
The provincial Tourism, Culture, Youth and Sports Office of Kepulauan Bangka Belitung (Disparbudkepora) tries to develop a fish-roasting tourist package as a part of tourism management duty.
The office encourages people’s empowerment through tourism attraction integration programme to increase the capacity of Tourism Awareness Group (pokdarwis) members who manage the beach.
“We try to integrate management area of Penyusuk beach and Puteri Island by integrating Penyusuk Permai Community Forest (HKm) and Kompala (nature lover community) of Belinyu,” said the sub-coordinator of destination management Yuliarsyah.
He said that Disparbudkepora supported destination management, especially package development. The programme will then be evaluated.
“This is a new concept. The common incomes of beach management are from entrance tickets, parking fees and toilets. The income is not equal to the service prepared for the visitor. The result, it’ll reduce the satisfaction of the visitors,” he added.
Even though it is just a trial, if it is a success, it will be upgraded adjusting to the potency of the area. Therefore Disparbudkepora support package development according to the available human and natural resources. (Khalimo/SAS)
