TANJUNG PANDAN – The acting governor of Kepuluan Bangka Belitung (Babel) Suganda Pandapotan Pasaribu and the minister of tourism and creative economy Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno officially opened The Amazing of Belitung Beach Festival (PBBF) 2023 on Tanjung Pendam beach, Belitung, on Friday (2/6/2023).
In his remarks, Suganda said that Belitung was one of ten new Bali. Babel was an amazing destination surrounded by white sand beaches and many other attractions.
“Belitung is a new Bali destination in Indonesia. Hopefully, events hosted on the island are not only national but also international. Therefore, we must protect Belitung. Don’t destroy it,” he said.
Suganda expected that the festival could have a positive effect on the economy, society, and surroundings.
“Thank you for your visit Mr. Sandiaga. It’s a branding for Belitung,” he added.
The minister said that PBBF 2023 is one of 100 on the national calendar of events (KEN) 2023. It was started from 1 to 4 June 2023.
“PBBF is the pride of Babel. For your information, it is one of the best events in KEN 2023,” he said.
The inauguration was also attended by the regent of Belitung Sahani Saleh and his vice-regent Insyak Meirobie.
The minister and the acting governor did some activities starting from Menyulo Udang, watching fire ball game, and visiting MSMEs stands. (Maalika/SAS/ZE)
