Pangkalpinang – Syarif Ardiansyah from Bangka Tengah regency and Mari Wiena Andriani from Bangka regency won Bujang Dayang Babel 2022 and Tourism Ambassadorof Bangka Belitung for 2022.
They won the title after eliminating 22 participants from all Bangka Belitung city and regencies on the grand final of Bujang Dayang/ Tourism Ambassador of Babel Competition for 2022. The event was held by Babel Tourism, Culture, Sport, and Youth (Disparbudkepora Babel) office on Wednesday night (19/10/2022) in Fox Harris Hotel, Pangkalpinang. It was attended by the acting head of Disparbudkepora Babel, all heads of tourism offices in Babel, and other guests.
“After several evaluation sessions such as Psychological, general knowledge, and English speaking test including presentation skill on local tourism promotion and art performance, the judges decided Syarif and Mary as Bujang Dayang Babel 2022 and Tourism Ambassador of Bangka Belitung for 2022,” said Zaiyuni.
They will head to Kalimantan Utara to represent Bangka Belitung in the national competition of tourism ambassador 2022.
Zaiyuni, the head of creative economy division of Disparbudkepora Babel who was also one of the judges said that the judges have selected the top 5 Bujang Dayang based on several criteria.
Acting Governor of Bangka Belitung Islands Ridwan Djmaluddin said in his opening remarks as recited by Governor Special Staff for community and human resources Sunardi hoped that the selected Bujang Dayang later can keep up the good work and make achievements on the national level.
“Next, you will compete with the finalists from various regions throughout Indonesia. If you win on the national competition, I hope you keep promoting Bangka Belitung tourism,” said Sunardi.
