BELITUNG – Safriati Safrizal visited Belitung traditional house and Batik Sepiak Gallery in Tanjung Pandan, Belitung Regency in Wednesday (10/1/2024). It was one of her working visit agendas to show her attention to the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (SMEs), culture, and tourism.
Safriati and her entourage were welcomed by a traditional dance at the traditional house located next to the regent official residence. She had a chance to put on Belitung traditional clothes and was informed about communal dining called bedulang.
“It’s amazing to visit the house wearing traditional clothes and dance together. This rare new experience can bring happiness,” praise Safriati
Safriati said that tourism was being developed and synergized with other sectors. Therefore, tourism was expected to elevate other sectors.
“We try to promote Belitung tourism together. Hopefully, we can bring more visitors here to have multiplier effect,” she continued.
Safriati also visited Sepiak Batik Center to witness its making process. She also enthusiastically tried to make eco print batik.
As the acting chairwoman of Bangka Belitung handicraft council (Dekranasda), Safriati supported SMEs of Belitung. The various products will be introduced and promoted nationally.
“I’ll focus on the products. The main one is the bright colour. I’ll promote it by wearing the products,” said Safriati who plans to wear the typical motif clothes as possible as she can. (Aliyah)
