Pangkalpinang – Acting Governor Ridwan Djamaluddin inaugurated 30 members of the national flag-hoisting team (Paskibraka) of Bangka Belitung for 2022 on Sunday (08/14) in Mahligai hall. Prior to the inauguration, the members joined training held since August 6 at Aksi Inn.
Also attending the event were Bangka Belitung Secretary, Head of Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Sports Office, Head of Youth and Scouting Division, and several Regional Leaders. Meanwhile, parents of the members were also joining the event through Facebook live streaming.
In his remarks, Ridwan Djamaluddin said capacity building is not only can be done through formal education but also through non-formal one. Take paskibraka for instance.
“This program can be a platform for youth to learn about fighting and nationalism spirit. Hopefully, it make a great future generation with criteria as follows; embraced Indonesian culture, having good personality and responsibility, and enthusiast to fulfil the call to build the country,” he said.
He also added that nowadays youth are lacking in building the country.
“This decline in participation will ultimately hamper the development of the country,” he explained.
In Concluding his remarks, Ridwan encouraged young generation to carry on the spirit of nationalism and to improve their capacity to build the country.
“Keep improving and developing youth quality. Encourage them to participate in the country’s development. So, the spirit of social justice for all Indonesian people will be implemented,” he concluded. (ZE/SAS)
