Sungailiat – Provincial Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Sports office of Kepulauan Bangka Belitung (Babel) held a technical guidance on National Tourism Information System (SISPARNAS). It is to provide regional tourism and creative economy data and information to encourage tourism development.
50 participants from provincial agencies, central government representative offices, experts, and surveyor from Bangka Belitung University joined the training held in Novilla Resort Sungailiat, Bangka regency on Monday (22/08/2022).
The head division of destination and Marketing Firmansyah on behalf of provincial secretary of Babel officially opened the program. It was also attended by sub-coordinator for infrastructure, accessibility, connectivity, amenity/facility, Digitalization, of Destination Management Directorate of Deputy for Destination Development of Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy Nur Aizah and speaker from the ministry Toni Bagus.
Firmansyah in his remarks said that SISPARNAS is the ministry’s program to build tourism database.
“We invite you because your agencies have role or directly connected with SISPARNAS. It is the ministry’s program executed by our office,” he said.
Firmansyah also said that Babel was one of provinces set as 10 Indonesian priority destinations.
He said further that the provincial tourism office had hold prior program entitled master plan of national tourism destination on tourism development in Babel which was initiated by the ministry and National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas).
He expected that the training can result in good understanding and same commitment to contribute and play each role in achieving Babel tourism development goal.
“Hopefully, it’ll bring a good improvement, especially for the future tourism,” he expected.
For information, SISPARNAS is a data platform for destinations and supporting infrastructures in all over Indonesia. It uses big data innovation with adaptive approach. It will provide tourism information for either tourism actor or government as instructed in Law Number 10 of 2009 on tourism. (RZ/ SAS/ZE)
