Pangkalpinang – Head of Youth and Scouting Division Pairus closed Provincial Youth Exchange Program (PYEP) Selection 2023. On that occasion, he encouraged Bangka Belitung Youths to maximize self-potential and self-value.
“I know all of you have big potential. So, you better focus on your future,” said Pairus.
It was mentioned that Youth Development Index (YDI) in Bangka Belitung is still low.
“Bangka Belitung YDI is still low. Many young people choose to study outside of Bangka Belitung. So, the Gross Enrollment Rate (GER) is low,” explained Pairus.
Furthermore, Pairus conveyed that Bangka Belitung had already had many universities. It will increase GER. He called on youth to pursue higher education in Bangka Belitung.
Besides that, He also encouraged young people to join youth organizations and communities. It was one of the fruitful activities for young people.
“You can get new experience, increase self-potential, and learn about leadership in youth organizations and communities,” said Pairus.
