BELITUNG – The acting governor of Kepulauan Bangka Belitung (Babel), Suganda Pandapotan Pasaribu, trial tourist fibre boat on Tanjung Kelayang beach, Belitung, on Thursday (10/8/2023). The boat was donated by the state-owned airport operator PT Angkasa Pura II in the social and environmental responsibility program.

“Today we’re on a boat donated by PT Angkasa Pura II. Thank you and happy 39th anniversary to Angkasa Pura,” he said.

He continued that it would encourage tourism on Belitung Island.

“We can enjoy the underwater beauty on it. No need to dive. We can see fishes, coral reefs and many more.”

Suganda asked Tanjung Kelayang tourism awareness group (Pokdarwis) to disseminate and educate community, especially children, on Belitung’s underwater beauty.

“We can educate people, especially children, on our underwater beauty using this boat. It’ll make their love of nature stronger,” he said.

“Nature degradation will make our next generation cannot enjoy the beauty of Babel archipelago, especially Belitong. Let’s keep our nature beauty,” he continued.

PT Angkasa Pura II previously handed over the boat in Tanjung Kelayang beach hall. The acting governor then handed over the boat to Pokdarwis Tanjung Kelayang, Belitung Regency. (Yudhistira/SAS/ZE)
