Pangkalpinang – In cooperation with Bangka Belitung Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Sports Office, Directorate for the Development of Tourism Resources, Deputy of Resources and Institutions of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenparekraf RI) held training for waiter in Bangka Belitung Province.
The training started from May 23-25, 2023 at Swiss-Bel Hotel, Pangkalpinang was opened by Head of Bangka Belitung Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Sports Office Wydia Kemala Sari.
Head of Bangka Belitung Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Sports Office Wydia Kemala Sari, in her remarks said that this training was held as an effort from central government to sync resources development and local economic growth.
Kemenparekraf RI representative, Surana said that this program was commenced as a form of commitment to support tourism resources development.
This training was attended by 30 participants from small and medium restaurants in Bangka Belitung. In this training, they learned how to increase customer services, how to serve food/drinks, and how to keep tables clean.
Zuairiyah, participant from Belitung who owned Makweng Restaurant was happy to be able to take part in this program. She said that this training enhanced her knowledge regarding customer services.
A total of 30 participants came from Belitung regency (4 persons), Pangkalpinang city (5 persons), Central Bangka regency (5 persons), Bangka regency (5 persons), West Bangka regency (4 persons), and South Bangka regency (7 persons). (MN/ZE)
