Balun Ijuk – Head of Bangka Belitung Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Sport Office (Kadisparbudkepora Babel) Wydia Kemala Sari, and Secretary of Provincial Council Zamhari talked about leadership at Young Scout Instructor Course 2023. In that one-hour session, they were taught how to be reliable leaders.
In her explanation, Wydia said that a leader must have the audacity to make a decision.
“One thing you have to remember in making a decision. It is what is right is definitely good, but what is good is not always right. So, always make the right decision because it will be good for everyone,” said Wydia.
Wydia continued that a leader must stay humble. It was easier said than done, especially when you were a leader.
“Being humble is easier to be said than done. Remember that there is another sky above the sky. Therefore, stay humble,” said Wydia.
Lastly, a leader must be eager to work. Don’t be lazy or “Dak Kawa Nyusah” in Bangka language. It ruined other things.
“If there is a will, there is a way. Keep it in mind. So, don’t be like “Dak kawa nyusah”. Always help each other, and stay positive,” said Wydia before she closed her session. (KTE/ZE)
