Disparbudkepora Trains Tens of ASN to Organize an Event

Pangkalpinang – Provincial Tourism, Culture, Youth and Sports office through Destination and Marketing Division trained tens of civil apparatus (ASN) to organize an event.

The first batch participated by 50 ASN was trained from 28^th – 30^th September 2022 in Grand Puncak hotel, Pangkalpinang. This event was part of capability building program.

Assistant II for economy and development of provincial administration, Yanuar, on behalf of the regional secretary expected that it would increase the quality of event organizers in the province. Yanuar who officially opened the training and also acted as a speaker said that the tourism and economy creative sector would evoke the future income of Babel.

“Babel is the top ten of tourist destinations. If it’s not supported by events, our tourism will be dull. Therefore we hope it will encourage all regencies and city to hold events. Eventually it involves UMKM, art workers, and others so that it will increase our economy,” said Yanuar.

The head of the Destination and marketing division Firman who was also the organizing committee of the training said that it was for ASN to improve capacity, especially in event organizing.

“We, ASN, have never planned and executed an event in detail. The event was always handled by the event organizer. Therefore, we invite experts from the association to train ASN in this program,” said Firman.

 “Today, we want to train ASN in Babel to plan an event starting from RAB/KAK (Budgeting/Terms of Reference) and execute it to be a successful event,” he said further.

One of the participants, Hariyani, from the Cooperative and UMKM office said that it gave her a new insight in organizing an event.

“We hope the event in Babel will be more organized in the future. We also hope that there will be a joint event among Disparbudkepora, Diskop UMKM, and Disperindag to make a bigger event and includes a lot of people,” Hariyani expected.

Competent facilitators trained the ASN in the 3 days of training constituted of Indiyanti Handyastuti from Asperapi, Rizky Adhy from Professional Exhibition Organizer (PEO), and Zakia Ayu Lestari lecture or academician. (rel/Munawar/Translated by S. Ahmad Sobri/ Edited by ZE)
