Pangkalpinang – On behalf of the head of Bangka Belitung Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Sports Office (Disparbudkepora), the head of Youth and Scouting Division Pairus opened Provincial Youth Pioneer Selection 2023 at Fox Hotel on Tuesday (13/06/2023). He said this selection was to recruit young people who have a pioneering spirit.
The chosen one would be the one who was eager to develop self-potential, dared to make a breakthrough, was ready to face challenges and could address an issue.
Furthermore, Pairus said that Disparbudkepora through the Youth Division also has a big responsibility such as strengthening youth character in the globalization era, increasing youth development index, and optimizing the role of youth organizations in developing leadership and youth pioneer.
“The challenge youth face will be more complex along with the development of the digital era. That’s why, Indonesia must utilize demographic bonuses. One way is to develop youth pioneers based on strategic issues and local resources,” said Pairus.
Youth Pioneer Selection 2023 included many categories, namely in education, religious affairs and culture, and food environment.
“I hope the chosen one will be able to make Bangka Belitung’s name great at the national level and receive an award on the upcoming youth pledge day ceremony,” said Pairus as he closed his remarks. (KTE/ZE)
