Pangkalpinang – Indonesian youths need to have an inter-province network in improving and developing regions.
Therefore, the provincial Tourism, Culture, Youth and Sports Office of Kepulauan Bangka Belitung (Babel) on behalf of the Ministry of Youth and Sports organized an Inter-province Youth Exchange Selection 2024. This annual programme is to give a chance for youths to share their experiences.
“It aims to broaden their knowledge and strengthen interregional friendship. It’s also a moment to promote cultural diversity and, of course, to have a strong network,” said Pairus, the head division of Youth and Scout in opening the selection in Hotel Grand Safran on Tuesday (07/05/2024).
Pairus said that the theme of this selection was Progressive Youth toward Indonesia Emas (golden Indonesia) 2045. It means that Indonesia will be a strong, sovereign and inclusive country in the next 20 years.
To be an advance country and become one of the five biggest economic countries in the world, Indonesia needs to produce young entrepreneurs.
“The young entrepreneurs will overcome youth problems included in the Regional Action Plan,” said Pairus.
He advised them to well participate in the selection. This programme was very important in elevating core values of nationhood and statehood.
“I hope our youths can tolerate and care for each other. It is also expected to produce independent, competitive, and leadership youth. Hopefully, it can be implemented in all parts of Indonesia, especially Babel,” he continued. (Khalimo/ SAS)
