Pangkalpinang – The minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno arrived in Pangkalpinang at 5 P.M. on Sriwijaya Air. He was welcomed by the acting governor of Kepulauan Bangka Belitung (Babel) province Suganda Pandapotan Pasaribu accompanied by the chairwoman of the provincial handicraft council (Dekranasda), the head of tourism, culture, youth and sports (Disparbudkepora) Wydia Kemala Sari, the chairman of provincial council (DPRD), and members of regional leaders communication forum (Forkompimda) in VIP room of Depati Amir Airport on Friday, 12/5/2023.
“Welcome to the land of Serumpun Sebalai,” said Suganda while putting a typical Babel Cual woven scarf around his neck.
“Thank you Mr. Governor. I’m glad I can come here again,” replied Sandi before he met with other officials.
After having a small talk, the minister, governor, and their entourages visited Dewi Tari tourism village in Rebo village, Bangka regency.
The head of Disparbudkepora Wydia Kemala Sari said that Sandi came to visit the tourism village, to attend tourism village creative training in Tanjung Pesona Hotel and to participate in Sungailiat triathlon 2023 on Saturday (13/5/2023).
“The village is nominated as one of 75 villages in the Tourism Village Awards hosted by the ministry. We’re expecting that the village can be the best 50, after that the best 10, and finally becomes the winner,” said Wydia. (Imelda/SAS/ZE)
