Belitung – The acting governor of Kepulauan Bangka Belitung (Babel) visited Lengkuas Island on Wednesday, 26/04/2023. It was good weather. The entourage was on a tourist boat sailing on the clear water to the island.
“We stop to take pictures with Garuda boulder as the background. We also saw a big turtle swimming under the boat,” said Suganda on the way to Lengkuas.
A lighthouse was seen standing on the island after ten minutes on the boat. Suganda was pleased with the natural richness of Babel. He has acknowledged the tourism potential of Belitung Island almost a month after he was inaugurated as the acting governor.
He had previously visited the island in his first week as the acting governor. Now he took his family to visit Lengkuas.
“We visit Lengkuas, but we also enjoy many other things: the natural beauty, sea ecosystem and good weather,” he added.
The main purpose was not only for traveling, but he wanted to see the beautiful renowned islands with his own eyes.
“The underwater habitat is amazing. The colourful fishes and coral reefs are incredible,” he said after snorkelling with his family. (Nona/SAS/ZE)
