PANGKALPINANG – The acting governor of Kepulauan Bangka Belitung (Babel), Suganda Pandapotan Pasaribu, supports the people under the Creative Economy Movement (Gekraf) to hold an event. It is to celebrate the commemoration of Creative Economy Day on 24 October 2023.
The chairman of Gekraf Babel, Tommy, met the acting governor on Saturday (5/8/2023) in the governor’s official residence. He said that the aim was to develop the creative economy in the province by encouraging creative economy actors to introduce their products.
He said further that Gekraf would also host Archi Piango in September. It was an educative action on good products and how to market them. Besides, it would develop students’ interest and talent in the creative economy. Gekraf planned to invite a nationally renowned master chef from Babel.
Suganda supported the idea. He liked to meet creative young people. He hoped it would become a well-known typical event of Babel.
Considering the number of creative young people in Babel, he expected to see brilliant ideas to develop the creative economy in the province. He hoped the event would be well prepared.
“There must be one action in one rhythm. Hopefully, it will invite more creative young people to join and collaborate in the same vision. Therefore, the event must be promoted,” he said. (Irnawati/SAS/ZE)
