Belitung – A meeting on tourist destination management to support the development of Belitung National Strategic Tourist areas (KSPN) was held in Santika hotel’s Meeting room, Belitung, on Thursday (5/1/2023).
“Our main concern is to develop KSPN. Since Belitung had been inaugurated as one of the 10 of priority destinations, there are a lot of things to do. We need to make the right move just like Tanjung Kelayang area,” said the acting of Bangka Belitung governor Ridwan Djamaluddin.
Tanjung Kelayang area is considered quite phenomenal because it was visited not only by minister but also president. Ridwan wanted to upgrade its infrastructure and others to attract visitors. Moreover, the assets in Tanjung Kelayang are not maximally used.
The meeting participated by regent and vice regent of Belitung and related parties made 3 agreements.
“Basically, we agreed to manage the KSPN. First we wait for land certificate published by the Agrarian Land Agency (BPN) as a legal basis for our action. Second, we need to encourage Telkom and Aerowisata to manage the nature and its potential in Tanjung Kelayang.”
“If we can make an agreement with Telkom and Aerowisata, the third step is to work together with Belitung regional government to manage it thoroughly and make its master plan,” said Ridwan.
After implementing all the points, the next meeting will be held to plan the next steps.
The meeting was participated by the regional secretary of Belitung regency, the acting head of provincial Tourism, Culture, Youth and Sports office, the head of regional technical implementing unit (UPTD) of Belitung Tourism development, the head of Special Economic Zone (KEK) Development Board of Tanjung Kelayang, director of PT Aerowisata and PT Telkom Property (Intan Pitaloka/SAS/ZE)
