Pangkalpinang – Acting Governor of Bangka Belitung (Babel) Ridwan Djamaluddin expressed his appreciation for the successful flag-lowering ceremony at the 77th commemoration of the proclamation of the Republic of Indonesia’s independence demonstrated by Paskibraka team.
“This team is so great. They performed well, perfect, and no mistake. Thank God, they all are healthy and lively. I hope they will become great figures in the society,” said Ridwan at Babel governor’s office yard, Wednesday (17/08/2022).
The province will support the team continuously, Ridwan added.
“It is fair to say that I expect a lot from our young generation, especially those who have a strong character. Those are worth building the country in the future,” Ridwan said.
On the same occasion, Ridwan mentioned events held at the 77th commemoration of the proclamation of the Republic of Indonesia’s independence. One of them is to raise a 1 km long Indonesia Flag at Pasir Padi beach.
“Tomorrow, we will raise a 1 km long flag at Pasir Padi beach. We will organize a big and extraordinary event with Recover Faster, Rise Stronger theme,” explained Ridwan.
For the record, military commander area 045/ Garuda Jaya, Brigadier General Ujang Darwis acted as Inspector of the flag-lowering ceremony. Meanwhile, the commander of the ceremony was Major Subkhan, and the ceremonial officer was Major Agus Sukendar.
Furthermore, Fatiah Kayla from SMAN 4 Pangkalpinang was assigned to carry the national flag. Meanwhile, team 8 members consisted of Fathurrahman from SMAN 1 Jebus, Vaqih Albar from SMKN 1 Tukak Sadai, and Helmi Dwi Andhika from SMAN 1 Pangkalpinang were in charge of lowering the flag. (ZE/SAS)
