Pangkalpinang – Bangka Belitung Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Sports Office held Provincial Youth Exchange Program (PYEP) Selection 2025. The program aimed to select candidate to represent Bangka Belitung in the national level. This selection phase was followed by 14 participants from all Bangka Belitung regencies and city.
The Provincial Youth Exchange Program (PYEP) Selection 2025 was opened by Wydia Kemala Sari, Head of Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Sports Office. In her opening remarks, Wydia emphasized that this program was not to choose representative only, it was also an opportunity to learn diverse culture for young people.
This year, the program focused on building a competitive, superior, and character-based human resources. Therefore, Bangka Belitung will have a talented young generation with characteristics as follows creative, innovative, having leadership and entrepreneur skills.
Besides that, this program was expected to increase Bangka Belitung Youth Development Index and Human Resources Quality. Then, it generated young entrepreneur in several areas.
“Through this capacity building program for young people, it is hoped to create young entrepreneurs. They were prepared to face challenges and to take part in regional development. So, this program will have direct impact on Bangka Belitung Young Development Index improvement in the future,” said Wydia.
PYEP Selection 2025 will be held online on August 19-20, 2025. The selection includes test on general intelligence test, language skills, civic knowledge, leadership, and art and culture. The chosen one will represent Bangka Belitung to join Youth Exchange in other provinces in Indonesia. (KTE/N/ZNAP/ZE)
