PANGKALPINANG – Head of tourism, culture, youth and sports office (Parbudkepora) of Kepulauan Bangka Belitung province Suharto officially opened regional working meeting of the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) on Monday, 24th January 2022, at SUN Hotel, Pangkalpinang.
The theme of the meeting was raising hopes to welcome rising tourism in Kepulauan Bangka Belitung province in 2022. It was attended by chairman of PHRI regional board Bambang Patijaya, representation of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) and representations of all Babel regencies and city PHRI.
Suharto in his speech asked all participants to seriously involve in the meeting because its decision will be issued in PHRI meeting in Sumatera Barat in February.
He said further that the provincial government has done many things during the pandemic to support hotel industry.
“We, the government, have done many things such as developing tourism stakeholders and organizing national events which surely effect hotel industry in Babel. We must have same vision and keep consistent in developing tourism,” he said.
He also informed that Belitung will host international ministry forum of G20. He expected that PHRI could support the forum.
“Let’s work together and support each other. We still have limitation in organizing the G20 forum, like products and transportation. I’m sure that our hotel is more than enough.
