JAKARTA – 1,500 stands took part in the 24th Inacraft Jakarta International Handicraft Trade Fair in Jakarta Convention Center on Wednesday (28/2/2024). The equivalent of Indonesian resource richness and public handicrafts cause the country to have various tradable products.
Bangka Belitung (Babel) displayed several products such as Cual, batik, crochet-work, pewter, lidi nipah, purun straw, kopiah resam, satam stone, bamboo bag, and many others.
The acting of Babel Handicraft Council (Dekranasda) Safriati Safrizal participated in the event to promote the products.
“It’s a big event. Not only nationally, but also internationally. Many foreign journalists write about it. It’s the right time to introduce our products, just like lidi nipah which has interested foreign buyers,” she said.
Inacraft is an event to display typical products developed by regencies/cities, provinces, ministries, agencies, and state-owned enterprises. Some international craftsmen from Thailand, Uzbekistan, Japan, China, Poland, Nepal, Malaysia, Philippines, Hungary, and Palestine also took part in the event.
“We must display our best products, so they will know where to go to buy them. It’ll have a direct effect to increase our economy,” she continued, (Natasya/SAS)
