PANGKALPINANG – Head of Provincial Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Sports of Bangka Belitung, Suharto, accompanied by Head of Sports Division, Harun, welcomed General Chairman of International Organization Persatuan Usahawan Tuah Kecil dan Sederhana Kuala Lumpur and Selangor (Pertuah) Malaysia, Manoji M. and his entourage in office hall on Wednesday (25/05/2022).
The meeting aimed to have coordination on future cooperation between Malaysia and Bangka Belitung Province through Second-home Program.
The purpose of the program is to promote Babel potential to Malaysia government in sports (early age football), art and culture, small and medium enterprises, and tourism.
Suharto really supported and appreciated the cooperation. He said that Babel would have talented players through the early age football program.
“I really support it. Thanks to Mr. Manoji for his first move to search for young football talents in Babel.” he said.
He expected that the similarity of Babel and Malaysia, which are from the same family, would make Malaysia support Babel potential.
“I’m very proud. Babel is the first province in Indonesia surveyed for football player potential. The result of this meeting will be reported to Malaysia government. Hopefully it’ll bring positive result.” he expected.
For the first program, there will be a friendly U17 match between Sabah Marudu city club and Babel in East Belitung regency in this November.
Before visiting Babel, Pertuah have coordinated with Youth and Sports Ministry of the Republic of Indonesia, Malaysia Consulate, and Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) in Jakarta. After this, they will have coordination with East Belitung regency.
The meeting was attended by Head of Pertuah Nusantara Bangka Belitung Chendra Lesnawati, representation of Indonesia National Sports Committee (KONI), Provincial Association of PSSI, and administrator officials of Disparbudkepora.
