Pangkalpinang – The Regional Executive Council of The Indonesian National Youth Committee (KNPI) held a Regional Leadership Meeting on Friday (20/12/2024) in Aston Sol Marina Hotel. It was to evaluate and strengthen youth leadership roles in Kepulauan Bangka Belitung province.
The head division of Youth and Scout Pairus opened the meeting. He informed some important youth issues in his remarks.
“The meeting aims to discuss important issues such as youth development index (IPP), youth’s role in improving the regional economy and strengthening youth social organization (OKP),” said Pairus.
He said further that the youth’s role in IPP was only about 40%. Therefore it needed youth’s innovation in all parts.
He also mentioned the youth’s role in improving the regional economy which has decreased lately.
“The meeting is expected to improve Babel’s economy by encouraging new and creative young businessmen,” he added.
The meeting can give momentum to strengthen youth leadership and increase people’s quality of life. The youth is expected to contribute towards regional development (Khalimo/SAS)
