Pangkalpinang – The Head of the provincial Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Sports Office (Disparbudkepora) of Bangka Belitung, Wydia Kemala Sari, representing the Governor, attended the Watch Party of the FIFA World Cup 2026 organized by regional TVRI (Republic of Indonesia Television) in Pangkalpinang on Tuesday (7/7/2026).
The event was part of TVRI's efforts as the official broadcast rights holder of the FIFA World Cup 2026 to provide quality programming while also strengthening community togetherness through sports.
In her speech, Wydia expressed her appreciation to TVRI Bangka Belitung for taking the initiative to hold the event. She said that having TVRI as the World Cup official broadcaster was a pride because people can enjoy the world's biggest football matches legally.
She also appreciated the collaboration between TVRI and Telkomsel, as well as the support from various parties, for organizing the event as a useful space for social interaction.
"It’s not just an entertainment, but also a space for socializing, strengthening friendships, and having a positive impact on the local economy through the involvement of MSMEs," said Wydia.
