Tangerang – The provincial Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Sports Office (Disparbudkepora) of Kepulauan Bangka Belitung (Babel) participated in the Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2025, an international trade exhibition inaugurated by Coordinating Food Minister, Zulkifli Hasan, representing the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, who was unable to attend due to urgent matters. The event was also attended by various heads of offices, agencies, and representatives from ministries across Indonesia.

In his speech, Zulhas said that TEI has been held 40 times. As of 16th October 2025, more than eight thousand buyers from 130 countries participated in it.

“We were able to have 14.5 billion USD transactions last year. This year, we target to reach 16.5 billion USD through various issued contracts,” he said.

Disparbudkepora responses this opportunity by offering four flagship products represent the creative economy potential and local resources of the province.

  1. Billition Spice. A typical spice brand offering the authentic taste of premium white pepper, a flagship commodity known even in international markets.
  2. Ciequ. A seafood processing brand that utilizes the marine wealth of Bangka Belitung, with flagship products consisting of sticks and ampiang made from various selected seafood.
  3. Pokdarwis. A tourism awareness group showcasing Pelawan forest honey, a natural product from Pelawan forest located in one of Babel’s regencies, rich in benefits and high in economic value.
  4. Miraando. A culinary brand promoting local flavour through food and beverage products based on calamansi lime, which are refreshing and unique.

Disparbudkepora aims to expand the market access of local products to the international level, while also introducing the creative economy potential and unique resources of Bangka Belitung to the world.

The Head of Disparbudkepora, represented by the Head of the Creative Economy Division, Zaiyuni, stated that this participation is a strategic step in encouraging local entrepreneurs to be able to compete and attract the interest of international buyers.

"We want to show that products from Bangka Belitung are not only of high quality but also carry unique stories and cultural values. Hopefully, collaboration between local business actors and international partners can strengthen Babel's position in the global market," said Zaiyuni.

With the spirit of 'From Local to Global,' the presence of Bangka Belitung at the Trade Expo Indonesia 2025 is expected to be a concrete step in expanding business networks, increasing exports of regional flagship products, and introducing the richness of local potential to the international world.
