Pangkalpinang – Tourism, Culture, Youth and Sports office (Disparbudkepora) of Kepulauan Bangka Belitung (Babel) province hosted pioneer youth selection on 5th – 7th June 2024 in Sun Hotel.
This annual programme of the Youth and Sports Ministry aims to achieve the 2045 Golden Indonesia vision.
The selection focuses on five fields: education, art and culture, natural resource and tourism management, food, and technology creativity.
The head of Disparbudkepora, Widya Kemala Sari, in her remarks, expressed her pride in Babel’s youth spirit to be pioneers for the community.
“I’m glad and proud to see such a spirit of our young generations to be pioneers in development who keep upgrading their skills,” said Widya.
She said further that the youths needed to make a breakthrough to face challenges and overcome problem.
“We need youths who can translate their ideas into reality and bring benefit to the society in overcoming the challenges and problems.”
Therefore, Widya appreciated the office’s Youth Division and alumni of the Pioneer Youth for their dedication to hosting the selection.
“I hope it can select the best youth for each category who will represent Babel in the national selection and make a name for the province,” she added. (Khalimo/SAS)
