Pangkalpinang – The Ministry of Youth and Sports and the provincial Tourism, Culture, Youth and Sports office (Disparbudkepora) of Babel will hold an athletic national competition for students of regional coaching centres (PPLP/D) and vocational schools (SKO) in 4th – 9th August 2024 in Depati Amir Sports Hall, Pangkalpinang.
414 athletes from 54 PPLP/D and SKO of all provinces in Indonesia will take part in this competition. They will compete in 19 male and female categories such as running, racewalking, long jump, triple jump, high jump, discus throw, shot put, javelin throw, and hammer throw.
The head of the sports division of Disparbudkepora and the executive chairman of the competition Harun ensures that preparation has been 95%. Babel is ready to welcome the athletes and spectators.
“The preparation has been completed in general. It just needs some details. We’re ready to welcome spectators and athletes,” said Harun in Sahabudin Sports Hall, Pangkalpinang on Wednesday (31/7.2024).
He hopes that people will come to watch the game. “Let’s come and support the athletes,” he added.
The athletes will compete for 114 medals consisting of 38 golds, 38 silvers, and 38 bronzes. (rz/sas)
