Bangka Regency Wins POPDA XIII 2026, Early-Age Athlete Development Becomes the Focus

Pangkalpinang – The 13^th Regional Student Sports Week (POPDA) 2026 of Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province was officially closed at Sahabudin Sports Hall, Pangkalpinang, on Friday (10/7/2026). It marked the end of the competition of the best athletes from all regencies/cities in the province.

On behalf of the governor, the Head of the Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Sports Office, Wydia Kemala Sari, expressed appreciation to all parties who contributed to success the event.

"POPDA is not just a competition to win medals and achievements, but also a place to shape the character of young people to be disciplined, sporty, resilient, honest, and able to work together. These values are an important asset in preparing superior human resources," he said.
