REBO – The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno inaugurated Tari Rebo Tourism Village in Sungailiat, Bangka regency on Friday afternoon (12/5/23).

Accompanied by the acting governor of Kepulauan Bangka Belitung (Babel) and his wife Maya Sibutar Pasaribu, Sandiaga was enthusiastically welcomed by the surrounding people.

“First of all, I’d like to congratulate you for becoming the best village in Indonesia. It’s our turning point because it can create many job opportunities,” said the minister.

The acting governor expressed his gratitude for the coming of the minister, especially to the village.

“I’m pleased for your coming. I hope you’re always healthy and can support us, especially the province. Hopefully, our tourism will be renowned more than before,” he said.

The head of Rebo village, Rudi Salim, in his remark, asked for support from the minister so that the village can be the first winner in the 2023 Tourism Village Award (ADWI).

The village is one of the best 75 villages in the tourism award.

The minister and his entourages visited stands of micro, small, and medium enterprises (UMKM). They also enjoyed going around by rowing boat.

Finally, Sandiaga signed the inauguration inscription of the village as the best 75 in ADWI 2023 and handed over some items such as chairs and tables. (Elvianti/SAS/ZE)
