SIMPANG TERITIP – Elvi Diana, a member of the Babel House of Representatives, fully supported Rambat as a sustainable tourist village that prioritizes environmental conservation, the socio-economic welfare of the local community, and cultural preservation. She stated it during her recess activities in Rambat Village, Simpang Teritip District, Bangka Barat on Saturday (16/5/2026). 

However, according to her, the village must be improved in order to welcome visitors, including maintaining cleanliness, beauty, comfort, and security. 

In this Recess of the Second Session of the 2026 Legislative Year, Elvi emphasized that tourism development in Rambat Village must truly have a direct impact on improving the community's economy.

“Mothers should be actively involved in tourism, especially in MSMEs and the creative economy. So that tourism can have a positive impact on the economic improvement of the villagers,” said Elvi. 

Elvi also emphasized the aspect of comfort and safety for tourists. “Maintain the good name of Rambat as a friendly and safe tourist village. Make them feel safe and comfortable,” hoped Elvi.

Meanwhile, the Head of Tourism Destinations and Marketing division of the Provincial Tourism, Culture, Youth and Sports Office (Parbudkepora) of Babel, Irwanto, who accompanied the recess, stated that the provincial government had been providing assistance in Rambat Village since 2023, especially on institutional assistance. 

In addition, Irwanto said that their focus was on management and product assistance in 2024. Meanwhile, in 2026, as part of the province's flagship program, there would be joint activities in collaboration with eight provincial agencies.

"For several years now, we have been providing assistance in Rambat. We hope the village can develop further in the future. This includes efforts to develop various facilities in the Batu Keranji Beach," added Irwanto. 

Not only addressing tourism issues, but Elvi Diana also raised various community problems in Rambat Village, including listening to suggestions or aspirations from the community and village officials.

The villagers expressed their aspirations regarding the condition of the school furniture, which is already damaged and needs to be replaced. There were also issues with the poor condition of the street in Hamlet I and several problems among the fishermen.

Meanwhile, the head of the village, Panji Islah, said that they were very happy and appreciative of the presence of Elvi Diana, a member of the provincial House of Representatives from the Bangka Barat regency electoral district. Moreover, the community could deliver their aspirations directly, which were positively responded.
