Bangka Tengah – The provincial government of Kepulauan Bangka Belitung (Babel), especially the Tourism, Culture, Youth and Sports Office (Disparbudkepora), supports creative economy actors by organizing a dissemination of Intellectual Property Rights (HKI) registration. It is not only to encourage the actors but also to strengthen the legality of their products.
It was a hybrid dissemination in Widari Hotel, Koba, Bangka Tengah Regency and by Zoom meeting on Wednesday, 25/6/2025). All-Babel actors participated in it.
HKI relates to the brand which is an important thing to be considered. It is a unique creative idea. There is a possibility that it may be copied by irresponsible persons.
“Innovation must be protected. We’re here to facilitate the creative ideas,” said the head of Disparbudkepora Wydia Kemala Sari in her remarks.
She hoped that it would be a strategic step in strengthening the ecosystem of the creative economy.
This programme aimed to increase awareness and understanding of the actors on the importance of HKI to acknowledge and protect their products. It also aimed to increase the number of registers, especially brands. It was all free and facilitated by the office through the provincial budget 2025.
The speakers from the regional office of the Law Ministry, Adi Riyanto and Erlangga Hadi Wibowo, first explained HKI registration and law protection. After that, they explained about types of HKI and the brand registration process. At the end of the dissemination was a consultation session.
“It is expected to have a positive effect not only for this present but for the future and for business comfort for the actors,” said Zaiyuni, the head of the Creative Economy division.
The output of the programme is all participants would be registered in the office’s database and their brands would be registered in the fourth quarter of 2025.
The dissemination was also attended by the head of Tourism and Culture of Bangka regency, head of the Economy Creative Division, sub-coordinator of creative economy, and representations from the regional office of the Law Ministry. (Faris/SAS)
