Pangkalpinang – Bangka Belitung Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Sports Office held the Provincial Youth Exchange Program (PYEP) Selection 2023. The program was followed by 14 representatives from all Bangka Belitung regencies and city.
Head of Bangka Belitung Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Sports Office, Widya Kemala Sari opened PYEP Selection 2023, accompanied by the head of Youth and Scouting Division, Pairus at Bangka City Hotel on Monday (08/05/2023).
PYEP aimed to build youth’s character as agents of change. It also became an opportunity for young people to experience a new atmosphere as they lived in different areas and interacted with local people.
Through PYEP, delegates will develop their potential, enhance their knowledge, and gear up for the global challenge.
“Youths will face complex global challenges in the future. Therefore, I hope a qualified youth will be chosen from this selection,” said Wydia.
She also mentioned that based on the Law of Youths year 2009, youths must have noble characteristic, healthy, smart, creative, and competitive.
“Based on the Law of Youths year 2009, youths must have several competencies. And, they must excel in it,” explained Wydia.
“Due to the internet, it is all connected now. We can get any information easily. So, make use of all the resources to improve ourselves. It is not only for our sake but also for others,” said Wydia as she closed the remarks. (KTE/ZE)
